Are you a religious program? No. In 2022 we found a home leasing our beloved space from upRising Church but we are an independent, non-religious program dedicated to respecting our children’s diverse ideas and family backgrounds.
What does being a “Reggio-inspired” school mean? At Tigerlily, we find much to admire in the work with young children in schools founded by Loris Malaguzzi and the families of Reggio Emilia, Italy.
We pay attention to the things that spark interest in the children, ask questions to better understand their thinking, and look for ways to explore more together. Children choose how we spend our time together, exploring activities that are meaningful and interesting. Teachers make learning visible by sharing daily photos and writing about our day digitally, on paper, and displayed on the walls of our classroom itself. Reflecting on our work together is an ongoing and collaborative process with teachers, the children, and their families. You will see lots of creativity, expression, connection, innovation, and joy here.
